Franchise owners
Unlike many professional leagues, the NFL forbids corporate owners. Ownership groups must contain 24 or fewer individuals, and at least one partner must hold a 30 percent or greater share of the team. The exception to this policy is the Green Bay Packers, owned by a non-profit corporation for more than eighty years; the Packers' situation was grandfathered into the current policy.[43]
